Friday Blues

MUHI is a fairly new designer on the grid, but one who has a beautiful collection. This Katie Dress in Baby Blue is just the thing to take away your blues and put you right into the pink of spring. The dress comes in several colours, so you can buy a few (or the available fatpack) to mix and match the tops and bottoms. Here, I was in the mood for some blues, so I show just the blue colour. The top is sculpted, and moves with the body beautifully–it also is hard to see where it joins the dress, unlike many sculpted tops. The skirt is also sculpted and comes with two attachment points. It moves very nicely with the avatar movement, with none of the “bell” movements that many sculpted skirts fall prey to. The rope belt ties this off to finish the complete look. I am very impressed with how this dress is constructed, and can tell the designer must have spent a great deal of time making sure they had a polished and quality piece. MUHI may have a relatively small collection at present, but is definitely a designer to take note of.

To go with my blues mood, I selected the [MANDALA] HANNYA Necklace in White Blue. I love the many options of this necklace: from single (shown) to double, shadow or bright, there is an option for everyone. The necklace fits like a dream right from the box, but does come with removable resize scripts. This is a nice option for lowering your total script count! The [MANDALA] TAKARA Bangle in Blue with included Nails and Rings fit in with my colour scheme of white and blue perfectly. The options for the TAKARA Bangles are seemingly endless, from two styes of the bracelt, both left and right sides for each, and bright options as well, along with the nails in 4 sizes. These nails fit perfectly, and the included rings mean you don’t have to settle for nails or rings–you can have both! The [MANDALA] TAKARA Bangle Blue Stone Set really brought out the silver hues of the necklace. The [MANDALA] TAKAYAMA Earrings in Turquoise added a nice contrast in shape to the necklace, and adds just the right amount of colour without overpowering the necklace. [MANDALA] really is a one-stop shop for beautiful and versatile jewelry.

The soft tones of the Baiastice D. Casting Skin fits well with the pastel colour of the MUHI Katie Dress, while the silver eyeshadow adds just a bit of the unexpected daytime glamour. The soft whispy Leigh hair from fri. in Passionate Red (I did tint this to be more to my own colour) fits the casual dress, and looks gently windblown in the spring field. The new Stiletto Moody Bare Fay (Zebra Sky) shoes echo the stripes in the bangles and add a bit of a wild touch to this outfit of contrasts. Getting the blues doesn’t have to mean sadness anymore!
