Purple Moon: Elie & Gator

Purple Moon has two new releases this week.  The first is Elie, a gorgeous tea length cocktail dress, shown in  Brown.  The shimmering fabric, embroidered with tiny crystals, is actually a blend of brown, green, and gold highlighted with a black cross ribbon on the bodice which culminates in a wonderful crystallized bow on the left chest.  The asymmetrical top frames the face beautifully, whilst the black straps slim the body and give form to the bodice top.    The dress has resizable prims and also comes in redBrick, brown, gold, blue, green, and black (a fatpack is available as well).

This dress is a real head-turner, and because of the blended colours, accessorizing it is a breeze.  The delicate nature of the over-skirt is readily apparent at the hem of the dress.  This is really one of those dresses you will turn to again and again in your wardrobe, because of the versatility and style.

Vanity hair’s Lexington hairpiece presents a clean, elegant look, which is perfect for this lovely dress.  Leather & Gold earrings from Paper Couture bring out the golds in the dress, whilst the Paper Couture Polished Stones Ring – Aqua brings out the green hues.  Add a manicure, bracelets from Burroughs (Eva #2) and $GaNKeD$ (Vanity modified), and some great stilettos and you are ready to paint the town any colour of the rainbow.

The second new outfit from Purple Moon is Gator, named because the fabric resembles that of a lizard, and you will feel like a chameleon, changing your stripes in this dress of many colours.  The predominant colour here is black, but this dress shimmers with blues, yellows, greens, and silver.  There are many ways to wear this dress, from short to long, to a chic bodysuit.  The collar piece adds a dramatic flair to the ensemble, and may be worn with or without the fabric attachment. The dress is also available in pink, burgundy, green, platinum, and gold as well as a fatpack.

This version shows the long skirt of the dress.  The effect is one of juxtaposition–of colour on dark, of casual elements (such as the central zipper) paired with avant garde (the collar and headpiece), of daringly cut bodice and sheer lower skirt with full short skirt.    Your flair for creativity is shown in the sophistication of the combinations you can accomplish with this outfit.

Gator is all about options.  You can wear it slim, wear it short, wear it with spines, or wear it long; just wear it and feel the power you will have knowing  you are a woman who is sure of  herself and has urbanity and cosmopolitanism about her.

Purple Moon’s Ayo hair works very well with this look.  It’s edgy and bold, and offsets the look superbly.  Accessories from ala Mood (Kalnera Lapis earrings, Siddean onyx cuff and ring) and Gems & Kisses ( Luxury Bangle in black) suit the daring side, whilst the Donna Flora Rose ring brings in a bit of the softness.  Add a bold skin (Baiastice) and shoes, and watch your back for all of the compliments you will hear when you appear in your chic Gator outfit.  This is not one for the meek at heart.
