Donna Flora – classicism updates to clothes

Donna Flora is a name many know for period clothing and jewelry.  The Mignon in tan is a classic slip with embroidered lace top and seamed stockings.  This is a timeless ensemble of lingerie which never goes out of style.

The deep v-neck of the slip ensures you can wear this under most dresses without fear of your slip showing (or you can also wear it showing, for a bit of sexy teasing; everyone knows it’s sexier to show a little than to show it all).  The silk skirt ends high enough but not too high.

Donna Flora’s Elvira jewelry set includes a lovely detailed cut-work pendant with diamonds, pearls,   rubies, smoky topaz, and lapis stones, suspended on a neck chain with pearl and diamond rounds.  The matching earrings repeat the pattern for a beautiful set. Tukinowaguma’s Emmie (Jewel) Brown (tinted and edited) hair seems right at home with its diamond accented french twist.

Donna Flora’s Rosina in smoke is more of a period piece, with ornate lace and net cap complete with fabric flower over the left ear.  The Donna Flora Aime earrings (which have a super easy hud for changing the colour of the stones–just wear the hud, click the colour and voila!) echo the rose pattern found in the cap and the outfit.

The lace of the bodice, cap sleeves, and peplum is exquisitely done.  The contrast of the lace with the smooth fabric of the rest of the bodice and skirt is a nice touch.  Classic Mary Jane pump stilettos finish this look off nicely.

Coming and going, this ensemble looks sharp and sophisticated.

The Donna Flora CAGE outfit is definitely not your grandmother’s dress.  This viewer 2.0+ required dress comes with hair, and shoes (the ISA shoes) and birds.  No feeding required.  From the sculpted top to the whimsical birdcage skirt, this outfit is not one for the tame of  heart.  Rich deep reds combine with gold accents which are set off well with cream & gray accents.

This is a head to toe attention grabbing outfit that you won’t see on every other avatar on the grid.

Donna Flora’s Aime earrings and necklace set fit in well with this piece, adding just enough colour without overwhelming the already over-the-top look.

Three looks, three periods, three fun styles from Donna Flora.

Dancer, lovely styling as usual, but where did you get those gloves? Both pairs of gloves are wonderful, but I don’t see credits for them.

Thank you, Dancer. Love your blog so much I’ve added it to my Google Reader so I won’t miss an entry.

    Hi,
Thank you so much. If you mean the ones with the fur, they are no longer available as the creator has left SL. The last pair come with the outfit.
