MVW France: Gown

Carrying the theme of opulance and decadence through to the Gown, is a dress inspired by and created for the Salon du Chocolat 2010 in France, an exposition devoted to the wonders of all things chocolate.  This event opens with a chocolaty fashion show, presenting unique dresses made from and/or accented by chocolate.  Having seen many of these fashions, one can see that Joy has not copied any of them, but truly taking inspiration from a few gowns from the show, and created a masterpiece beyond any of them.

The bodice of the gown is a slightly sheer fitted corset with a myriad of golden leaves (thus the name) surrounding the chest and at the waistline, as well as down the corset which is also accented by glints of diamonds scattered about. The gold is a rich gold, appearing to be gilded (or what is known as gold leaved) in a rich metallic tone.

The jewelry shown is the ILDE Set from Donna Flora, which comes with an easy touch HUD to change the colour of the stones.  The rich citrine colour blends well with the newly released Tukinowaguma Ulrika hair with the Yellow Flower attachment in lovely golden hues.  The jewelry and hair seem made for the gown, and are lovely accents which add but do not detract from the beauty of the designs of each piece.

The gown itself is a “sultry gypsy style” with beautiful deep rich chocolate brown tones draped with “falling golden leaves” moving into the full length skirt accented by “vibrant golden tulle” at the hip and bottom of the skirt.

According to Fauve Beaumont, Miss France 2011, the gown was her dream, and Joy Fellini made it real for her.  This gown is a dream for anyone to wear, and a most special creation indeed.
